Councillor Duncan Gair has proposed a motion “THAT candidates in the forthcoming Local Government election give a voluntary undertaking to the community of the Wingecarribee Shire that the total expenditure for campaign expenses will not exceed $10,000 in total either for a team grouping or an individual.”

  This prompted several Hi Eye readers to ask what the candidates declared as expenditures for their 2004 campaigns? Accordingly, we obtained the following information from the New South Wales Election Funding Authority, and Electoral Commission. Numbers are often an invaluable source of information.
